Convince us to give you a free ticket to UX Camp CPH!

If you submit a proposal to us for an Ignite presentation, you could be the lucky winner of a free ticket to UX Camp CPH 2018! If your submission wins our UX hearts, you will be on stage presenting at UX Camp CPH Friday night, 4 May, in front of 300 UX fans, and attending the rest of the conference all day Saturday.

What is an Ignite presentation?

In brief, you have 5 minutes to present 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds. This is crazy fun and a fantastic exercise for practising how exactly you get your message across to your audience.

Some of you may recall Ignite presentations at past UX Camp CPH events or even World Usability Day events. You do the talking. We handle the technical setup. Because we control how your slides are presented, you must submit your slides in advance (we’ll tell you when).

If you are both excited and nervous about trying the Ignite format, don’t worry. Be happy because we’ll give you some coaching!

O’Reilly ignited this type of presentation back in 2006. Here’s a 2009 talk from Scott Berkun that explains how to give an Ignite talk in the Ignite format.

What can you talk about?

As long as you cover UX in some way, pretty much anything goes. Get some popcorn and check out loads of past Ignite talks from around the world to get some inspiration.

How do you submit your proposal?

Send an email to uxcamp@uxcampcph.org.

Describe your planned presentation in about 5 to 6 lines so we have a clear idea of what you intend to present on the 4th of May.

Send us your submission by 28 February.

You will be notified directly before the official launch of the ticket sales.
